12 Rivers

Collect magic pearls as they flow down the twelve rivers.

Lead a tribe to explore the fabled twelve rivers flowing from a mystical lake high in the mountains. Your goal? To find the magical coloured pearls that roll down the rivers in the current. Perhaps a helpful fairy may help you on your quest! Where the rivers converge there is a village where you can make life-long friends and deliver the pearls you have collected, to be used to heal, grow, and ensure another prosperous year for all.

A tight and dramatic worker placement, pearl collection, and goal chasing game. Feel the tension as you carefully place your tokens, and the drama as you release the pearls to roll down the board into players’ tribe tokens. Collect pearls one by one, releasing the remainders to roll further down river.

Six cool things about 12 Rivers

Rolling down the river

Place pearls worth different victory points into the river randomly each round. Then lift the floodgate and watch those those pearls roll down the rivers – fun!

Place your tribes

Decide where to place your tribe tokens to improve your chances of capturing the right pearls. How many cards are you willing to pay for an earlier choice?

Distribute your pearls

Move your captured pearls from your alpacas to your villager tiles, and try to gain the most beneficial bonus scores from them.

Special counter & card actions

Collect and play fairy tokens or pairs of cards to gain special actions that can make all the difference.

So many ways to score

Villagers score the pearls you collect, and their bonus scoring goals allows you to find even more scoring synergies, which adds more tension to get the pearls that benefit you most.
